CrossFit Spotsy opened April 2008. Owned and operated by Lisa and Kerry Quinn, they both hold CrossFit Level I ANSI accredited certificates.

Lisa’s background in the fitness industry began in 1989 as an AFAA group exercise instructor & examiner, ACE P.T., ACE Lifestyle & Weight Management Gold certified. She has training at military bases, private and franchise gyms around the world. She started doing CrossFit the summer of 2007 after her two sons, both Active Duty Marines, shared with her the Physical Training their units were doing. After watching video of a CrossFit WOD, Nasty Girls, she began doing CrossFit WODs at a local gym and in her garage with friends. Sept 2007 she attended CrossFit Level I weekend seminar presented by Coach Glassman at MCCS Quantico. She then began coaching under mentor Coach Major Andrew Thompson at CFQuantico.

After being encouraged by CrossFit Cert Staff Pat Sherwood at Level II Certification class Fall of 2007 to open her own CrossFit Box, she applied for affiliation and officially opened CrossFit Spotsy April 2008.CrossFit Spotsy was located in a 1800sqft warehouse from July 2008~Dec2011, then moved to a 7000sqft warehouse from Dec2011~Dec2012.

CrossFit Spotsy has been instramental in establishing a solid and ever expanding community for CrossFit through corporate business educational seminars, corporate accounts, WOD’s at oncology clinics, youth sports teams and mainly with the LEO and Military community, Wounded Warrior Games,  as well as consistently volunteering at all CrossFit Games events since 2009.

Over 50 CFSpotsy athletes have pursued obtaining the CF Level One Certificate, have successfully passed stringent 3 month internship at CFSpotsy. Many now work at affiliates worldwide, as well as branching out and opening their own CF affiliates.

In January 2013 Kerry & Lisa saw a lifelong dream come true, purchasing a farm in Strasburg opening Adventure 4 Life CrossFit located in a 100yr old barn, closing the doors to CrossFit Spotsy in Fredericksburg.

Their vision for Adventure 4 Life CrossFit, formerly CrossFit Spotsy, is to be a known as an educational provider of CrossFit methodologies and philosophies in the greater Shennandoah region through seminars, lectures, in-house training for local businesses, law enforcement, military units, schools, sports teams, and individuals.
